Note! Several PELNI Ships Adjust Routes During Eid Homecoming 2025
Jakarta, March 7, 2025 – PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia, or PT PELNI (Persero), will adjust the routes of 19 of its ships to anticipate passenger traffic during the 2025 Eid homecoming transportation period. PELNI apologizes for any inconvenience caused by these adjustments.
PELNI's Director of Passenger Transport Business, Nuraini Dessy, revealed that these route adjustments are part of the company’s strategy to manage the high passenger volume during the homecoming season.
"There are 19 ships that will experience route adjustments to better serve the main homecoming destinations. These adjustments include schedule changes and additional frequencies on strategic routes to anticipate the surge of passengers during the peak of the 2025 Eid season," said Dessy.
These adjustments also demonstrate PELNI’s commitment to supporting the government's program to provide safe, comfortable, and affordable homecoming transportation. PELNI is working to ensure that all operating ships meet safety standards and are equipped with adequate facilities for long-distance journeys.
The 19 ships that will experience route adjustments during Eid 2025 are as follows:
KM Gunung Dempo:
Deviations to Bau-Bau, Namlea, Ambon, Banda, Tual, Dobo, Kaimana, Fak-Fak for anticipating Eid transportation along the Sulawesi and Maluku routes during the homecoming and return trips.
KM Ciremai:
Deviations to Manokwari, Biak, Namlea for anticipating Eid transportation along the Papua route with destinations to Ambon and Namlea for Makassar-Surabaya (round trip) during the homecoming and return trips.

Deviations to Batam, Belawan for anticipating Eid transportation with additional frequencies along the Batam-Belawan route during both homecoming and return trips.

Deviations to Balikpapan, Pare-Pare, Makassar, Surabaya for anticipating Eid transportation along the Sulawesi route to Balikpapan and the Balikpapan to Surabaya route during the homecoming period.

Deviations to Kumai, Semarang for anticipating Eid transportation along the Kumai to Semarang and Kumai to Surabaya routes during both homecoming and return trips.

Deviations to Makassar, Bima for anticipating Eid transportation along the Makassar to Bima route during the homecoming period.
Currently, PELNI customers can use digital channels such as the PELNI Mobile app or the official PELNI website. Tickets can also be purchased through various banking apps like Lifestyle BCA Mobile, Sukha Livin Mandiri, and BNI agen46, as well as through networks like Indomaret, OMI mitra Indomaret, Alfamart, Alfamidi, ATA Tour, Fastpay, easybook.com, via.com, MMBC, Darmawisata Indonesia, Versa, and Topindo.
For payments, PELNI has partnered with Bank BTN, BRIVA, BNI Virtual Account, Permata Bank, Mandiri Virtual Account, Indomaret, OMI mitra Indomaret, Alfamart, Alfamidi, iSaku, Finpay, and Fastpay.
As directed by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), PELNI is committed to ensuring that its fleet is in prime condition and ready to serve hundreds of thousands of passengers during the 2025 Eid transportation period.

PT PELNI (Persero) recorded that its 30% sea transportation discount program was fully sold out ahead of the scheduled period. Ticket sales for the discounted fares, which opened on February 11, were officially closed on Friday (April 3).
