Note! Several PELNI Ships Adjust Routes During Eid Homecoming 2025

Jakarta, March 7, 2025 – PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia, or PT PELNI (Persero), will adjust the routes of 19 of its ships to anticipate passenger traffic during the 2025 Eid homecoming transportation period. PELNI apologizes for any inconvenience caused by these adjustments.

PELNI's Director of Passenger Transport Business, Nuraini Dessy, revealed that these route adjustments are part of the company’s strategy to manage the high passenger volume during the homecoming season.

"There are 19 ships that will experience route adjustments to better serve the main homecoming destinations. These adjustments include schedule changes and additional frequencies on strategic routes to anticipate the surge of passengers during the peak of the 2025 Eid season," said Dessy.

These adjustments also demonstrate PELNI’s commitment to supporting the government's program to provide safe, comfortable, and affordable homecoming transportation. PELNI is working to ensure that all operating ships meet safety standards and are equipped with adequate facilities for long-distance journeys.

The 19 ships that will experience route adjustments during Eid 2025 are as follows:

  1. KM Gunung Dempo:
    Deviations to Bau-Bau, Namlea, Ambon, Banda, Tual, Dobo, Kaimana, Fak-Fak for anticipating Eid transportation along the Sulawesi and Maluku routes during the homecoming and return trips.

  2. KM Ciremai:
    Deviations to Manokwari, Biak, Namlea for anticipating Eid transportation along the Papua route with destinations to Ambon and Namlea for Makassar-Surabaya (round trip) during the homecoming and return trips.

  3. KM Dobonsolo:

    • Deviations to Ambon, Serui, Nabire for anticipating Eid transportation along the Ambon to Papua route during the homecoming period.
    • Deviations to Ambon, Banda, Tual, Dobo, Kaimana, Fak-Fak for anticipating Eid transportation along the Ambon to Maluku route during the homecoming period.
    • Deviations to Balikpapan, Ambon, Nabire, Serui for anticipating Eid transportation along the Surabaya-Balikpapan and Ambon to Papua routes during the return trip.
  4. KM Nggapulu:

    • Deviations to Kijang, Batam, Belawan for anticipating Eid transportation along the Kijang, Batam to Belawan route during the homecoming period.
    • Deviations to Ternate, Ambon, Bitung for anticipating Eid transportation along the Ambon-Ternate-Bitung route during the return trip.
  5. KM Labobar:

    • Deviations to Sorong, Manokwari, Nabire, Wasior, Fak-Fak for anticipating Eid transportation along the Maluku to Papua route during both homecoming and return trips.
  6. KM Dorolonda:

    • Deviations to Ternate, Bitung, Pantoloan, Balikpapan, Surabaya for anticipating Eid transportation along the Ambon to Ternate and Bitung-Pantoloan-Balikpapan to Surabaya routes during the homecoming period.
    • Deviations to Ambon for anticipating Eid transportation along the Ambon to Papua route during the return trip.
    • Deviations to Serui for anticipating Eid transportation along the Papua route during the return trip.
  7. KM Sinabung:

    • Deviations to Ambon for anticipating Eid transportation along the Ambon to Papua route and the Balikpapan-Surabaya route during the homecoming period.
    • Deviations to Balikpapan for anticipating Eid transportation along the Surabaya to Balikpapan route during the return trip.
  8. KM Kelud:
    Deviations to Batam, Belawan for anticipating Eid transportation with additional frequencies along the Batam-Belawan route during both homecoming and return trips.

  9. KM Lambelu:
    Deviations to Balikpapan, Pare-Pare, Makassar, Surabaya for anticipating Eid transportation along the Sulawesi route to Balikpapan and the Balikpapan to Surabaya route during the homecoming period.

  10. KM Kelimutu:

    • Deviations to Sampit, Surabaya, Kumai, Semarang for anticipating Eid transportation along the Kumai to Semarang and Sampit to Semarang routes during the homecoming period.
    • Deviations to Semarang, Kumai for anticipating Eid transportation along the Semarang to Kumai route during the return trip.
  11. KM Tatamailau:
    Deviations to Ambon for anticipating Eid transportation along the Papua to Ambon route during both homecoming and return trips.

  12. KM Tilongkabila:
    Deviations to Bima, Makassar, Labuanbajo for anticipating Eid transportation along the Makassar to Bima-Labuanbajo route during both homecoming and return trips.

  13. KM Awu:
    Deviations to Kumai, Semarang for anticipating Eid transportation along the Kumai to Semarang and Kumai to Surabaya routes during both homecoming and return trips.

  14. KM Bukit Raya:

    • Deviations to Pontianak, Surabaya for anticipating Eid transportation along the Pontianak-Surabaya route during the homecoming period.
    • Deviations to Surabaya, Kumai, Semarang, Pontianak for anticipating Eid transportation along the Surabaya to Kumai and Semarang to Kumai routes during the return trip.
  15. KM Binaiya:

    • Deviations to Surabaya, Batulicin, Kumai for anticipating Eid transportation along the Kalimantan to Java routes during the homecoming period.
    • Deviations to Surabaya, Makassar, Batulicin for anticipating Eid transportation along the Surabaya to Batulicin route during the return trip.
  16. KM Leuser:
    Deviations to Kumai, Semarang, Surabaya, Batulicin, Sampit for anticipating Eid transportation along the Kalimantan to Java route during both homecoming and return trips.

  17. KM Lawit:
    Deviations to Surabaya, Kumai, Semarang, Sampit for anticipating Eid transportation along the Kalimantan to Java route during both homecoming and return trips.

  18. KM Sangiang:
    Deviations to Sorong, Fak-Fak for anticipating Eid transportation along the Papua to Ambon route during the homecoming period.

  19. KM Wilis:
    Deviations to Makassar, Bima for anticipating Eid transportation along the Makassar to Bima route during the homecoming period.
