PELNI and the Ministry of SOEs Bring Togetherness Through the Sobat Aksi Ramadhan 2025 Program
Lombok, March 15, 2025 – PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero), in collaboration with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), is supporting the community through its social and environmental responsibility program titled "Sobat Aksi Ramadhan BUMN 2025," held at MA Darul Abidin, Gerisak Semanggelang, Sakra Bar District, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, on Friday (March 14).
This program involves young SOE workers to enhance employee loyalty and enthusiasm in building a company culture of empathy and social concern. It also serves as a manifestation of SOEs' care for the community, focusing on sharing happiness and helping those in need during the holy month of Ramadan, in line with Mission Asta Cita’s 8th objective, which supports social harmony and interfaith tolerance.
The event was attended by PELNI representative I Gusti Nyoman Putra Jaya, Head of Gerisak Semanggelang Village H. Mursal Hadi, S.H., Chairman of BPD Akhmad Suryadi, S.Kep, Chairman of LKMD Syaipuddin Zuhri, and Headmaster of MA Darul Abidin NWDI H. M. Al Azhari, LC.
In his speech, I Gusti Nyoman Putra Jaya stated that the "Sobat Aksi Ramadhan BUMN 2025" event is a form of PELNI's commitment and concern for social welfare. "Through cleaning activities, distribution of basic necessities, and a shared breaking of fast, we hope to provide a positive impact that can be directly felt by all parties involved. This event not only focuses on realizing a sustainable CSR program but also on caring for social welfare," said Nyoman.
In addition to environmental cleaning activities, PELNI also provided cleaning equipment to the school, distributed basic necessities packages to school residents and the surrounding community, and concluded with a shared iftar event.
With the synergy between the company, community, and society, it is hoped that this event will open empowerment opportunities for the community in facing challenges during Ramadan and teach the importance of sharing and helping one another. "The synergy between PELNI and the Ministry of SOEs in this program aims to make Ramadan 2025 a moment for sharing happiness and strengthening togetherness, both with the school residents and the surrounding community," Nyoman added.
In line with the Ministry of SOEs' directives, this event strengthens the values of mutual cooperation, care, and solidarity between SOEs and the people, creating tangible social impacts whose contributions and benefits can be felt by the community.
PELNI is committed to continuously running CSR programs that benefit the community and the surrounding environment and setting an example as a responsible company in preserving nature and supporting sustainable development.
All of PELNI's CSR programs refer to the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) pillars established by the United Nations and adopted by the Ministry of SOEs into CSR programs across SOE companies. In addition to the social pillar, PELNI's CSR pillars include the economic, environmental, and legal governance pillars.
