Up to D-1 of Eid, Almost 400 Thousand PELNI Ship Tickets Sold
Jakarta, April 9, 2024 - - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) has recorded that it has sold 399,806 tickets up to D-1 of Eid al-Fitr 1445 H/2024, Tuesday (9/4). This number consists of 293,233 tickets for the Eid homecoming flow (March 26 - April 11) and 106,573 tickets sold for the Eid return flow (April 12 - April 26).
Head of PELNI Corporate Secretariat Evan Eryanto detailed that 364,556 tickets have been sold for passenger ships and 35,250 tickets with pioneer ships. "Prospective passengers can check the availability of ship tickets through the PELNI Mobile application, Pelni.co.id website or the PELNI 162 call center," he explained.
He appealed to prospective passengers to buy ship tickets through official channels such as the PELNI Mobile application, pelni.co.id website, PELNI 162 call center, branch office counters or partners who have collaborated with PELNI. "PELNI has also added ticket sales channels, namely through Mandiri Livin' Sukha and BCA Mobile," Evan explained.
Meanwhile, during the homecoming period for this year's Eid transportation, company data shows that there are 5 densest sections including the Batam - Belawan section with 15,663 passengers, Belawan - Batam (13,288), Kumai - Semarang (11,718), Balikpapan - Surabaya (10,588), and Makassar - Surabaya (9,154).
The company also noted the 5 busiest departure ports during this year's homecoming period, namely Makassar (33,119), Balikpapan (28,044), Ambon (24,343), Batam (22,735) and Tanjung Priok (18,992).
"We would like to thank customers who use PELNI ships as their preferred transportation during this Eid," he said.
