SOE Synergy, PELNI Sea Toll Ship Transports 20 Containers of Cooking Oil Food Holding ID F

Jakarta, September 24, 2022 - - KM Logistik Nusantara 5 owned by PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI transported 20 containers of cooking oil from BUMN Holding Food ID FOOD. The cargo of cooking oil departed from Surabaya to Morotai, North Maluku, Saturday (24/9).

The delivery of the cargo was witnessed by the Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan, Head of the National Food Agency Arief Prasetio Adi and the Director of the Sea Toll and Goods Transportation Business of PT PELNI Yossianis Marciano.

Yossianis Marciano detailed, on this voyage, KM Lognus 5 transported 211 TEUS dry containers and 9 reefer containers. Of this number, 36 containers were loaded with cooking oil, with 20 containers of which were cooking oil from ID FOOD's Food Holdings. "For 36 containers, the total is 674,400 liters, with 392,140 liters of which belong to ID FOOD," explained Yossianis.

KM Lognus 5 itself is one of six Sea Toll fleets owned by PT PELNI with a carrying capacity of 225 TEUS dry containers and 10 TEUS reefer containers. Of the total 10 routes assigned to the Sea Toll Road from the Government through the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation, KM Lognus 5 itself fills the T-10 route with the Tg. Perak – Tidore – Morotai - Galela - Buli - Maba - Veda - Tg. Silver.

As of September 22 yesterday, KM Lognus 5 showed the best performance throughout 2022 by carrying a total of 1,523 TEUS of departing cargo and 765 TEUS of return cargo with a load factor of 132 percent. The most basic goods transported include rice, cooking oil, eggs and mineral water.

"The T-10 route is the busiest route. We continue to expect local government assistance to promote the presence of Sea Toll ships to business actors in their respective regions. The price of transportation by Sea Toll ships is subsidized by the Government so that it can reduce logistics costs to disadvantaged, remote areas , outermost, and border (3TP)," added Yossianis.

PELNI as a State-Owned Enterprise engaged in sea transportation currently operates 26 passenger ships and stops at 76 ports and serves 1,058 segments.

In addition to passenger transportation, PELNI also serves 44 pioneer ship routes which are a means of accessibility for population mobility in disadvantaged, remote, outermost and border areas (3TP) where Pioneer Ships stop at 281 ports with a total of 3,695 segments. PELNI also operates 16 Rede Vessels. For logistics business services, currently PELNI operates 10 routes of the Sea Toll Road as well as one special route for livestock transportation.*
